Faux Stone

Faux Stone is an extraordinary finish having varied sheened paint glazes frottaged to give a surface appearance of split rock. Due to the tedious nature of application,, Faux Stone is generally done only in Faux stone-block form. In Fact, this is the technique Buon Fresco applied to make the gorgeous earth tone blocks which decorate the Great Hallway of the Award Winning Home featured in the American Painting Contractor magazine Jan/Feb 2000 and Architectural Digest, Jan 2001 Visit this house on our "Award Winning Work" Pages.

Faux Texture

Faux Texture can be applied across large and high wall spaces to great effect, and may suggest a Mediterranean Stucco, marble or cashmere depending upon the color and technique.  The 2-level entryways (Great Hallways) so typical of contemporary house construction, benefit greatly from this finish.  The large 'hand prints' of the finish are visible even from a distance -on the highest walls not losing any of their drama.  Then the stucco appearance gives a Mediterranean feel, another key to making vast spaces seem more warm and welcoming.

Faux Stone

Faux Stone need not be limited to a stone color.  The possible varieties of color are endless. The beauty of this finish is the suggestion of texture and weight, without actually adding plaster to the walls. Its beauty is evident here, the applications are limited only to desirable color schemes.

3-Color Crackle

Cracked color has limitless possibilities for furniture, small wall sections and detailing.  This particular example is reminiscent of a Joseph Mallard William Turner watercolor.  Look around you and use your imagination.
